Alternate Ways of Healing

Here are some suggestions that may bring you comfort and peace.
- Create a memorial box with blankets, clothes, cards, etc., kept in a special spot in your home
- Design special jewelry with baby's birthstones or initials as part of a mother/child necklace, initials charm bracelet, Share pin, 0r memorial teardrop pin
- Print magnets with baby's name and date and angel for family (you can purchase magnet paper at any office supply store and print it on your inkjet printer and cut to size)
- Plant a memorial tree or rosebush in the backyard
- Purchase a special candle with an angel pin hanging from a ribbon to light on holidays and special occasions. These can be given to grandparents as well
- Create a stamp to put on holiday cards to include our baby when signing our names
- Purchase a Memorial Brick at the Angel of Hope Statue and invite family to attend the candlelight vigil at the statue each year on December 6th
- Donation to Share each year on the anniversary dates
- Purchase toys appropriate to the age your baby would have been at birthdays and the holidays and donate them to charity
- Designing the baby's headstone
- Create a photo album dedicated to all the pictures of the pregnancy, nursery, baby's birth and ongoing events following the loss such as Memorial walks, tree planting, bricklaying, etc.
- Matching album to display all the items from the walks, services, song lyrics, poems, etc. from ongoing events and memories of the baby
- On vacation, find a way to include the baby, like writing the child's initials in the sand at the beach
- Create a music CD with songs from the funeral and other songs that have touched us through our grief journey, and making copies for a few friends and family
- Plant a tree at the neighborhood park along with a plaque with the baby's name on it
- Design a Father’s Day bracelet with baby's initials and a memorial teardrop on the band
