Rose Carlson
Program Director
Rose became involved with Share in April 2002 after she met Cathi Lammert at a Share fundraiser. She began volunteering at the national office and became a part-time office assistant a few months later. She was then hired as Program Director in January 2004.
As Program Director, Rose oversees the Angel of Hope Monument in St. Charles, is the adminstrator of the message boards and chat room, writes grants and helps out with the Sharing newsletter. Rose also assists in the planning and coordinating of the Sharing & Caring Perinatal Loss and Share Coordinator Workshop which is held semi-annually in St. Louis as well as other educational workshops in the St. Louis area. In 2007, Rose served as co-chair for the Voices of Hope retreat, which was held in celebration of Share’s 30th anniversary.
Before becoming involved with Share, Rose was a stay-at-home mom to her four children. Rose has experienced four early pregnancy losses, and although she was unaware of Share at the time, since discovering Share, she has become dedicated to the mission of helping bereaved parents.
Rose obtained a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in sociology and journalism from Eastern Illinois University in 1985. She has worked in retail management and as a writer for a newspaper. Rose has used her writing skills in helping to re-write some of the materials Share sends to bereaved parents.
Rose resides in St. Charles with her husband Tony and her children Brandon, Justin, Lauren and Rachel. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, scrapbooking, and making jewelry.
