Michelle Foster is the proud mother of twin boys. One in Heaven and one on Earth. After going into labor unexpectedly, her beautiful boys entered the world far too soon at only 24 weeks gestation. After 30 days, Chase Kyle passed away in his mommy’s arms after complications from exploratory abdominal surgery. Evan James spent 84 days in the NICU and has since continued to grow and thrive as a happy, healthy baby. Michelle currently lives with her husband, Nate, and Evan in St. Peters, MO.

Michelle joined the Share Board of Directors in 2014 as a way to remember and honor Chase and to provide support for other families going through a similar experience. She has a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Eastern Illinois University. Michelle is a marketing communications manager for Belden Inc., a global manufacturer of communications technology products.

My interest in Share began about 15 or so years ago.  I have been a hospital chaplain in SSM Health Care at area hospitals since 1991, and in the midst of my work, I attended many situations where a baby, both born and unborn, died.  I was present when the baby son of my cousin died.  It was after that that I had the opportunity to attend the weekend Share Seminar.  Ever since then, I have had a keen interest in the ministry that Share provides.

Share has had a very rich relationship with SSM Health Care for many years, and I have the privilege of being the SSM representative on the Board.  I am Director of Pastoral Care and Ethics  for SSM in St. Louis, and my office is at SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. I live in south St. Louis County with my wife, Betty, and our cat, Ali.

Gary Wellman is an IT Director for The Outsource Group where he manages a data integration team. He was previously with EDS/HP for 17 years as a Program Manager and Delivery Lead.  Gary is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a B.S. in Computer Science. Gary is originally from Quincy, IL; but currently lives in St. Charles, MO with his wife Melissa and his five living children.

Gary and Melissa were introduced to Share in 2002 due to the death of their son, Garrett. At that time, they received a wealth of support from Share and its extended family. Since that time, they have both volunteered for or helped organize many of the Share events. It’s because of Share they both found hope and healing, and it’s because of Garrett that they continue to give back to Share and others who need their support. Gary joined the Share Board of Directors in 2008.

Mike Margherio is the father of 8 kiddos, one who lived only 12 hours. After Joey's death, Mike and his wife Diane had to concentrate on Joey's twin's health, and Jimmy is now 15 years old. But Joey is just as real and present as Jimmy. Mike was recruited to Share by a mutual friend of Cathi Lammert's (Share Executive Director), and he has honored Joey's memory by serving on the Share board, most recently for about 2 years, and earlier for about 3-4 years. He is always in awe of Cathi's vision and commitment as well as her seemingly tireless efforts on behalf of Share. It is his privilege to be a part of Share and this dedicated board.

Mike has worked as an attorney for the past 30 years.

Megan is honored to serve on the Share board in Charley’s memory.  An old Jewish proverb says that a person can die two deaths -- the first when your physical body dies, and the second when people stop mentioning your name.  Share ensures that Charley, and babies like him, never die that second death.

Megan and Jason live in rural Wisconsin with their two living children, Owen and Anna and with two demanding pugs, Bella and Badger.

Chris and his wife Shelby became affiliated with Share in 2007 when their son Cameron was born with Trisomy 13 and lived 7 days. Share was an important resource for them following their loss and Chris joined the Share Board of Directors because he wanted to help take the Share mission to other parents dealing with their own loss of loved ones. As a new resident of the Seattle area, he is looking to take Share with him into the Pacific Northwest and build a Share community in a geographic area that has been previously untouched by Share’s mission.

Chris is currently an Engineering Project Manager with Boeing Commercial Aircraft in Seattle. He previously lived in St Charles, MO where he led multiple projects for Boeing Defense on the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. Prior to joining Boeing, he served as a T-1 Instructor Pilot for the U.S. Air Force. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Academy, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Arizona State. He is also a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
