What is the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
The Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope is a memorial event that provides families who have experienced the tragic death of a baby an opportunity to openly acknowledge and remember their babies among family, friends and other bereaved families and to walk the steps their precious children never got to take. The gathering allows bereaved parents to find comfort in friendship, strength in shared experiences and hope for healing and happiness. Proceeds from this event allow the organization to continue to support bereaved families at no charge.

When and where is the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
This year's event will be held on October 18, 2014 in Creve Coeur Park at Sailboat Cove. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the service will begin promptly at 11 a.m. See more important dates on our Share Walk Calendar.

How much is it to participate in the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
Early Registration (before 9/1/13):   Adult: $25          Youth: $15
Late Registration (after 9/1/13):       Adult: $30          Youth: $20

How do I get a t-shirt with my baby's name on the back?
Share Walk t-shirts are exclusively available to those who register for the event. All friends and family who would like to receive this commemorative item will need to register in a timely manner. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for anyone who registers after the 9/1 early registration deadline.

Are animals welcome at the Share Walk?
We strongly discourage the attendance of family pets at the Share Walk for the safety of all participants.

Are balloons provided for release during the memorial service?
The National Share Office will supply biodegradable latex balloons to all registered participants for release during the memorial service. You are allowed to bring your own balloons if you choose; however we strongly discourage the release of Mylar balloons due to the proven detrimental effects they have on the environment.

Can my employer sponsor the Share Walk?
Yes! Sponsorship opportunities are available for any business that wants to get involved. There are several levels to choose from to best fit their business vision. Download the Corporate Sponsorship Guide to learn more.

Am I required to fundraise to participate in the Share Walk?
Fundraising is not required, although it is strongly encouraged. We ask all participants to set a minimum fundraising goal of $100. Here are some easy ways to show your support!

How do I get my baby's name(s) on the back of the event shirt?
For your baby’s name(s) to be included on the back of the Share Walk shirt, your registration MUST be received by National Share before 9/1/14. No exceptions. If registering by mail, please be sure to print names clearly on your registration form using the following format: First Middle Last. Multiple names should be separated with a semi-colon. Please also be sure to clarify any unusual pronunciations as all names will be read aloud during the memorail service.

How can I pick up my event shirt to have on the day of the walk?
Packet pick-ups have been scheduled accordingly:

October 3, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. - TEAM PICK UP

October 6-10, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.  - INDIVIDUAL PICK UPS

Both packet pick-ups will be held at the office of National Share: 402 Jackson Street, Saint Charles, MO 63301. When registering for the Share Walk, please select your preferred pick-up date and location and National Share will prepare your order for pick-up at the specified location. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled pick-up dates, merchandise can be shipped with tracking details and delivery confirmation for a minimal fee.

Where can I park?
Ample parking is available in two large lots as you enter Sailboat Cove. Some parking spaces will be unpaved as the parking will be directed into other areas after the lots fill. We encourage all participants to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion at the park entrance.

What is the lunch available?
A hamburger lunch (hamburger, chips and beverage) and a hot dog lunch (hot dog, chips and beverage) can be pre-ordered on your registration form. These lunch items will also be sold following the service for $4-5 each. Plan on staying to enjoy fun, food and friendship!

Are there any activities for children?
Yes! This year we are introducing the Creation Station; an area where children are welcome to make creative mementos. Activities such as story time featuring our bestselling children’s book “Thumpy’s Story”, making name bracelets and awareness ribbons, and kid friendly memorial messages for the balloon release will be available for children of all ages!

How do I have my baby's name(s) read at the service if I miss the September 1 registration deadline?
If you register after September 1, your baby’s name(s) will be included on the list of names to be read during the service. To double check that your baby’s name(s) is included on the list, visit the registration table prior to the beginning of the memorial service. An attendant will have the list available for participants. If you register the morning of the Walk, a sign-in sheet will be available for additional names to be read during the service. These additional names will not be placed alphabetically in the list of names to be read, but will be included in the service once all other names are read. Please be sure to arrive early if you need a name added to the list.

If I am coming from out of town, are there accommodations nearby?

Is my information secure?

Z2 Systems, Inc., our online registration provider, takes every precaution to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information by using industry-recognized security safeguards such as firewalls, coupled with carefully developed security procedures to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration. When they collect sensitive account information such as credit card numbers, they protect its transmission through the use of encryption such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. What happens with my credit card information?
Upon receipt of your credit card information, we charge your account using a secure online processing terminal. The information is then returned to Share as an approval or denial of the charge. Credit card information is not stored in our database.
