What is the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
The Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope is a memorial event that provides families who have experienced the tragic death of a baby an opportunity to openly acknowledge and remember their babies amongst family, friends and other bereaved families and to walk the steps their precious children never got to take. The gathering allows our bereaved parents to find comfort in friendship, strength in shared experiences and hope for healing and happiness. Proceeds from this event allow the organization to continue to support bereaved families at no charge.

Are animals welcome at the 2011 Share Walk?
We strongly discourage the attendance of family pets at the 2011 Share Walk for the safety of all participants.
Are balloons provided for release during the memorial service?
The National Share Office will supply biodegradable latex balloons to all participants for release during the memorial service. You are allowed to bring your own balloons if you choose; however we strongly discourage the release of mylar balloons due to the proven detrimental effects they have on the environment.
Can my company sponsor the 2011 Share Walk?

Am I required to fundraise to participate in the 2011 Share Walk?
Fundraising is not required, although it is strongly encouraged. We ask all participants to set a minimum fundraising goal of $50. Here are some easy ways to show your support!

Registration Questions
How do I register for the 2011 Share Walk?
There are three ways to register:

Important Notes:
For your baby’s name(s) to be included on the back of the 2011 Share Walk shirt, your registration MUST be received by the National Share Office before September 1 at 4 p.m.
Registration will remain open until the morning of the 2011 Share Walk; however, availability of merchandise is only guaranteed to those who register before September 1.
This event will occur rain or shine, however Share reserves the right to cancel due to extreme circumstances. No refunds will be issued due to cancellation and registrations fees will be considered a donation to Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, Inc.
How much does it cost to register for the 2011 Share Walk?
Prior to September 1:
Adults: $25
Children (ages 5-12): $15
After September 1:
Adults: $30
Children (ages 5-12): $20
What does my registration include?
Registration includes a 2011 Share Walk t-shirt, an event program, a balloon (with a card to write a message), and bottled water. The balloon release will take place during the memorial service.
Are registration fees tax deductible?
No, registration fees are not tax deductible as each fee covers the costs of goods and services received by registrants (i.e., t-shirt, program, water, etc.). Any and all donations made to Share above the registration fee can be considered tax deductible. The National Share Office will send a receipt to anyone who makes a contribution to the organization.
How will I know my registration was received?
Online registrants using a valid email address will receive an email confirmation upon registration. Those who register via standard mail or fax can call the office to verify their registration was received, but will not otherwise receive a confirmation of receipt.
What forms of payment for registration do you accept?
Registrations sent through the mail can be paid for with cash, check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).
Payment for registrations received via fax should be by credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).
Online registrants can pay with credit card using PayPal or pay by check. All check payments will be considered pending registrations until payment is received by the National Share Office at 402 Jackson Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. Merchandise will not be available for pick-up unless payment has been received.
Merchandise Questions
How do I get my baby's name(s) on the back of the event shirt?
For your baby’s name(s) to be included on the back of the 2011 Share Walk shirt, your registration MUST be received by the National Share Office before September 1 at 4 p.m. No exceptions. Please be sure to print names clearly on your registration form using the following format: First Middle Last. Multiple names should be separated with a comma. Please also be sure to clarifyany unusual pronunciations for service purposes.
How can I pick up my event shirt to have the day of the walk?
Two pick-up days have been scheduled for your convenience. When registering for the 2011 Share Walk, please select your preferred pick-up location and the National Share Office will prepare your order for pick-up at the specified location. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled pick-up dates, merchandise can be shipped for a minimal fee. We do not guarantee receipt of merchanidise to those who do not attend the merchandise pick-ups.

Please note that merchandise pick-up will NOT be available at the 2011 Share Walk. Again, if you are unable to attend one of the above pick-ups, select the accurate shipping and handling fee on your order form and your merchandise will be shipped directly to you. Team merchandise will be assembled as ONE order. It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to pick-up and distribute merchandise to all Team Members. Shirt sizes will be available on a first come basis. All unclaimed merchandise becomes the property of Share following the pick-up dates.

How do I get to Creve Coeur Park?
Directions from Highway 70:
Take 70 to Earth City Expressway South and continue on to Maryland Heights Expressway
Turn Left on Marine Ave and enter Creve Coeur Park
Sailboat Cove will be on the Right
Registration will be at Tremayne Shelter
Directions from Highway 270:
Take 270 to Dorsett Rd and head West
Turn Right on Marine Ave and enter Creve Coeur Park
Follow Marine along the edge of the lake for about 1 mile
Sailboat Cove will be on the Left.

Where can I park?
Ample parking is available in two large lots as you enter Sailboat Cove. Some parking spaces will be unpaved as the parking will be directed into other areas after the lots fill. We encourage all participants to arrive early.

Day-of Event Questions
What is the event schedule?
Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Tremayne Shelter, located inside the Sailboat Cove entrance off of Marine Avenue. The memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service, participants can choose either the 1 or 4 mile walk route, both leading back to the pavilion. Pre-paid BBQ lunches can be picked up following the service. Additional lunches will be offered for sale as well.
What is the lunch available?
A hamburger lunch (hamburger, chips and beverage) and a hot dog lunch (hot dog, chips and beverage) can be pre-ordered on your registration form. These lunch items will also be sold following the service for $3-4 each. Plan on staying to enjoy fun, food and friendship!
How do I have my baby's name(s) read at the service if I miss the September 1st registration deadline?
If you register after September 1st but before the morning of the Walk, your baby’s name(s) will be included on the list of names to be read during the service. To double check that your baby’s name(s) is included on the list, visit the registration table prior to the beginning of the memorial service. An attendant will have the list available for parents.
If you register the morning of the Walk, a sign-in sheet will be available for additional names to be read during the service. These additional names will not but in alphabetical order, but will be added to the end of the list to be read. Please be sure to arrive early if you need a name added to the list.

Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Inc. respects your right to privacy. Constant Contact, our online registration provider, takes every precaution to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information by using industry-recognized security safeguards such as firewalls, coupled with carefully developed security procedures to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration. When they collect sensitive account information such as credit card numbers, they protect its transmission through the use of encryption such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. What happens with my credit card information?
Upon receipt of your credit card information, we charge your account using a secure online processing terminal. Teh information is then returned to Share as an approval or denial of the charge. Credit card information is not stored in our dattabase.
