Memorial Bricks:

A lasting memento at the Angel of Hope in St. Charles, MO

A Sacred Space: The Angel of Hope Statue and Garden

Blanchette Park, St. Charles, MO

The Angel of Hope is a beautiful statue standing in Ben Rau Memorial Garden in Blanchette Park in St. Charles, MO. The Angel of Hope was created and dedicated to families that have lost a child at any age, and is surrounded by bricks carrying names and memorial messages for the children that have died. The angel's face is that of a child, its arms raised, as a child waiting to be lifted. The word HOPE is inscribed seven times on the statue.

To honor our children's memories, memorial bricks are placed around the base of the Angel of Hope statue and on walkways extending in various directions into the garden. This area is intended to be a source of peace and healing for all bereaved parents, family members and friends who visit. According to park officials, the Angel is visited every hour of every day, and often has white flowers laid at it's base. The Angel of Hope is a source of solace and beauty for bereaved families everywhere.

You can purchase a brick for yourself or your loved one in memory of a beloved child, and it will be placed in the garden with the memorial message of your choice. Engraved with your personalized message of remembrance, each brick is 4-inches x 8-inches with three lines of text available for engraving; fifteen (15) characters per line, including all spacing and punctuation. All engraving is done in uppercase letters. Every Angel of Hope Memorial Brick purchase includes one (1) felt-backed Miniature Keepsake Brick inscribed with the identical message of the full-size brick. The Miniature Keepsake Bricks measure 2 ¼- inches x 1-inch and are a treasured memento for families everywhere. Additional Miniature Keepsake Bricks can be purchased in any quantity and make thoughtful and meaningful gifts for friends and family.

The Angel of Hope is an exact replica of the Christmas Box Angel statue, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and stands as a symbol of hope for all parents who have experienced the death of their child. The Angel of Hope is based on the angel statue in Richard Paul Evans' best-selling novel, The Christmas Box.

The Angel of Hope is a beacon of hope for all parents, regardless of religious background,

who are seeking solace after the loss of their child.
